One Long Solo

About Me

My name is João, I was born in Vancouver, Canada but I grew up in Portugal.
On September 4th, 2018, I hopped on a bus from Lisbon to Madrid hoping to get to Ulaanbaatar somehow. The plan was to get there overland, without airplanes, and also… Without any traveling experience (I’ll take the ring to Mordor, but… I don’t know the way).
After that bus, my life would change completely. I would cross countries that I had never heard about before, maybe only on those doggy World Cup qualifiers. I would cross borders that I never thought I would dare to cross. I would live abroad and teach kids in China. I would successfully evade lockdowns. I would have stories to tell. And the scope of this page is that those stories become practical information for you reading this.
So without any further delay and blabbering about myself let’s begin.
